Anetic Aid supports 'Stop Pressure Ulcer Day!'

In the UK, dealing with pressure sores is believed to account for about 4% of national healthcare expenditure.

The risks are particularly high in ICU and surgical environments because of the inevitable immobility of the patient – so having the appropriate equipment and techniques to mitigate those risks is a top priority.

Each year, healthcare professionals, organisations such as the Tissue Viability Society and industry partners like ourselves, come together to help raise awareness of pressure ulcers and promote prevention. And it's not just here in the UK: this event now takes place in countries all over the world with its aim of increasing public knowledge in a bid to prevent pressure ulcers from forming and affecting so many people each year.
