One Stretcher, Multiple Environments
The UK's NHS emergency departments don't provide one type of care, for one type of patient, in one type of clinical area.
Patients can move through different areas and in doing so, the needs from the patient stretcher changes - through assessment, examination, imaging, treatment, observation and recovery.
A modern emergency department demands a versatile patient stretcher and a QA3™ Emergency Stretcher is just that. From SDEC to Resus - a QA3™ Emergency Stretcher is designed around the entire emergency department journey.
Suitable for children and adults across a range of emergency department clinical areas, including:
Triage
Rapid Assessment & Treatment (RAT)
Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)
Major Injuries
Resuscitation
Minor Injuries
Clinical Decision Units
Observation Areas
X-Ray
Designed for Patient Safety and Comfort
Designed around the current British Standard for patient stretchers - BS 5402 - and in compliance with BS EN 60601-2-52 - a QA3™ Emergency Stretcher provides exceptional levels of patient safety required for the modern emergency department, especially where extended stays are a necessity.
With an excellent low height, 320kg safe working load, 700mm wide patient surface and high-quality pressure care mattress, the ED patient is both safe and comfortable. The conveniently placed, base mounted cylinder holder can accept up to F/ZX sized cylinders during resuscitation and critical illness, exacerbations, COPD management and emergency transport.
Reduced Manual Handling Built In
The need for staff to manually handle patients getting on or off a QA3™ Emergency Stretcher is reduced with the stretcher's excellent low height and stow-away vertical side rails. But more than that, the reduced stretcher weight, low rolling resistance castors, and exceptional 5th wheel steer offer supreme manoeuvrability when transporting a patient around an emergency department and beyond.
Power your manual handling
And yet more. A QA3™ Emergency Stretcher is available with powered functions to reduce the manual handling challenges of altering a stretcher position with a patient onboard - and also DRIVE - an intuitive drive-assisted 5th wheel where sites experience increased patient transport challenges.
A QA3™ Emergency Stretcher is also available with an 800mm wide patient platform and drive assist as the QA3™ <800> Bariatric DRIVE Stretcher, to help reduce the manual handling associated with treating patients on the higher end of the BMI scale.
Infection control by design
Smooth moulded surfaces and enclosed stretcher mechanics minimise dirt traps and result in a patient stretcher that is quick and easy to clean and disinfect.
